Working Student - Engineering & Data Management

Your tasks

Are you ready to gain hands-on experience with a global leader in access solutions? Join our Product Engineering Team at SKIDATA, and support us in building innovative products that shape the future of access technologies! This is a great opportunity for students to dive into mechanical and mechatronics engineering while working on exciting, real-world projects.

This part-time position is perfect for students in the early stages of their studies, looking to expand their knowledge across a wide range of topics and gain insights into the full product development lifecycle. The position is for 1 year, based at our headquarters, and offers a unique chance to get involved in critical aspects of our engineering processes.

What You’ll Do
Technical Specifications & Data Management: Assist with creating technical specifications for our products, including guidelines for data production and goods manufacturing, in alignment with our vendor requirements.
Product Data Management System: Support the integration and management of product data within our system—helping us build and streamline our product data management processes.
Quality & Data Quality: Contribute to ensuring the accuracy and quality of product data, supporting our efforts in maintaining high standards for our hardware products and sensors.
Prototyping & Hardware Certifications: Gain exposure to prototyping and certification processes for our mechanical products, mechanisms, and sensors—key areas that drive the innovation of our hardware.
Collaboration & Learning: Work closely with an open-minded, diverse team of engineers, apprentices, and experts from various backgrounds, where creativity and new ideas are encouraged. You'll have the opportunity to learn from different disciplines, gaining a well-rounded understanding of mechanical engineering and data management.

Your profile

• You’re studying in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
• You have a keen interest in data management and technical writing, and you’re eager to learn about building product specifications and improving data quality.
• You are proactive, enjoy working in a team, and have good communication skills, as you'll interact with various departments and teams.
• Fluent in English (German is a plus but not required).

We offer a competitive salary based on your qualifications and professional experience. The minimum salary for this position according to the collective agreement is EUR 2,303.00 gross per month on a full-time basis. Of course, your actual salary will be adjusted in line with the market based on your qualifications.
